Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has died – says hospital

An Australian hospital has confirmed the death of the Home and Away actress ‘Jessica Falkholt’. Jessica died from the injuries she suffered from a car accident which she met three weeks ago.

This accident took place on 26 December in New South Wales. Her parents, sister and the driver were already dead due to the accident.

She played Hope Morrison in the soap.

Her life support was switched off last week and she met her death on Wednesday morning (local time) – St George Hospital (Sydney).

Her sister Annabelle, 21, died in the hospital three days later. While her parents Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60, immediately died in the crash.

The investigation for the crash is still going on by the Australian police which also killed a 50-year-old Craig Whitall, who was driving the opposite car.

According to authorities, they were investigating whether Mr Whitall’s car had been on the wrong side of the road.

Hundreds of people attended funeral service for Lars, Vivian and Annabelle Falkholt in Sydney last week.

Also, Vivian Falkholt’s brother spoke at the funeral, saying about a thought that he had about he and his sister growing old together.

The period of work of Falkholt on the long-running series lasted for only 16 episodes which ended in November 2016. She also acted in the US film Harmony which is set to release this year.

According to Channel Seven, the broadcaster of the show said “the entire team of Home and Away is heartbroken”. Also added that “Jessica’s shining talent was respected and recognized by all her cast-mates and crew members and her beautiful friendship always treasured”.

Former Home and Away star Pia Miller also paid a tribute to the “wonderful” star on Instagram. All the co-stars had asked for prayers and support since the crash.

Her death also showed a lot of messages from her fans relieving grief.
